We recently identified the need to extend our operations nationwide, choosing a joint venture (JV) structure as our expansion model. This gives our JV partners 50 per cent ownership of their local business – that’s a real vested interest in their own success.

Each JV is a little different, depending on demographics and land availability in the area, so good local knowledge is a definite advantage. Our partners to date range between 24 and 69 years old, and are all either innovative entrepreneurs or come from a building background and know a good opportunity when they see it. New joint venture partners pay an affordable license fee, along with the first year of working capital – this gives you 50 per cent ownership of the joint venture and a 50 per cent share in its profits. In exchange, you receive an exclusive license to operate within your prescribed territory in perpetuity and a competitive base salary.

All JVs also enjoy access to our national supplier agreements, with all rebates coming back into your business. You have a library of more than 200 architecturally designed house plans at your fingertips, as well as full use of Generation’s financial and customer relationship management systems. There’s comprehensive assistance on hand when it comes to formatting subdivisions and negotiating for land purchase, and you are totally supported in all marketing planning and strategising decisions.
