Generation Developments position on Sustainability:

Generation Developments is a property developer and residential builder that strives to build relationships, grow community, deliver dreams and be the best. One of our core business values is to be a sustainable and profitable business this will be achieved through focusing on the practise and process of sustainability across all areas of the business. Sustainability will become part of core business practise and it is our desire to become a role-model of sustainable business practise within the building and constrcution industry and inspire others to follow suit.

Our objectives and principles:

Our overall objective is to create positive social and physical environments for our team, our contractors, suppliers, customers and our communities while minimising adverse impacts on the physical environment, and tracking our progress and development.

We will achieve this by:

  • Incorporating 'sustainablity theory and ethos' into everyday Generation Developments business (e.g..We have set key business objectives around sustainability)
  • Measuring our progress and then regularly reviewing it (e.g....we have formed the Sustainable Bunch Club that includes team members across the business to collectively track progress, share ideas and develop and implement new intiatives)
  • Continually improving environmental performance of current business systems
  • Participating in accreditation programmes like Enviromark
  • Minimising waste, utilising resources efficiently and preventing pollution in all our activities at head office, within our showhomes and on our construction sites
  • Work with external bodies and professionals to develop standards and improve the overall environmental performance of the building and construction industry.
