Gold Medal Showhome in Hamilton
Generation Homes has constantly won awards for excellence in workmanship, creativity and innovation. In 2008 it has had success again with being awarded a gold medal for its showhome in Chesterfield, Hamilton. In Tauranga Generation Homes was awarded with a gold medal at the Master Builder's Awards in the New Homes section for homes between $250,000 and $350,000 and what made it more special was the home was built for our very own Kim McColl. Kim is of course very proud of her new home and her clients regularly see that she certainly believes in what she sells!
Generation - 2007 Business of the Year!
11 November 2007
What a night! Generation recently added to their already laden trophy cabinet by coming away with not one but two significant awards at Tauranga's Westpac Business Awards.
The first came early in the evening with Generation presented with the Business Growth Award. Kevin Atkinson the CEO and the management team went up on stage to accept the award. Kevin credited Generation's sense of fun as a key to their success.
The real surprise came later in the evening with Generation beating out fierce competition from the likes of Moochi, Sport Bay of Plenty, Tasman Aluminium, Bayline Coaches and Brookfield New World to take away the Supreme Business of the Year Award. This meant that Generation Developments were the strongest competitor across all categories.
“This is a huge boost for the business and a credit to everyone. Every person, past and present, who has been involved in our business can take credit for this achievement. Winning these awards is not easy and to receive both the Business Growth award and the overall Business of the Year Award in one evening is a fantastic result – what a great team effort,” Kevin Atkinson CEO.
Generation Takes a Win for Sustainability
28 June 2006
We won! Generations takes a win for sustainability...
Generation Homes, was recognised for its sustainable business efforts in the 2006 Bay of Plenty Sustainable Business Challenge last week. Along with 61 other Bay of Plenty businesses that are on a quest to become more sustainable,we won the stage two category award.
Delighted with our success, Director David Mansel said “New Zealand has a history of innovation and is famous for a can-do attitude. We in the construction industry are in a great position to effect positive changes towards sustainability.”
“Sustainability isn’t just a ‘nice’ thing to do. It ensures the ongoing viability of your business providing significant benefits. It should be looked at as a pragmatic business decision rather than just a movement towards being ‘green’” he said.
With sustainability being a core business focus for the last year, Generation has progressed further through our sustainable business journey with the view to not only build sustainable homes but alter our customers’ perceptions on the availability of sustainable solutions.
“We want to educate our customers on how they can make their homes more sustainable. There are many cost saving benefits that can come from implementing some very easy sustainable systems”.
