In response to the Government’s announcement yesterday, our teams have now all moved to working from home.
Our company is well positioned to continue to stay open during this period. All teams are able to work remotely and have access to all our key information at all times. While we can’t physically work on site, in our offices or in the s, we are still very much open for business via remote, phone or email, and will communicate with you every step of the way.
The Government has made a number of announcements about businesses and essential services. Although Building and Construction was listed as an essential service, the definition of this does not cover the house building industry, but rather infrastructure as in roading, bridges and such; building for essential services like medical facilities, factories for food production and such; and emergency repairs to maintain human health at home or work.
We understand this is a very unsettling time for everyone and if you have any concerns about your current build, building a new home or buying a house during this period, we will continue to share information with you, or you’re welcome to email your contact within our business.
For those customers at the stage where construction of their new home has started or is nearing completion, please be assured that we are working quickly to protect and secure all of our build sites across New Zealand, and as a long standing, financially sound company, Generation Homes has every intention of finishing your builds when we are allowed back on site.
We know you will have a number of questions and we will be fielding a lot of enquiries from people over the next couple of days. Please bear with us if we are slower to respond to any questions, but we will get in touch with you.
We hope you are all keeping safe and well and taking care of your family and loved ones. The meaning of 'home' is now even more important.
