This step sees the structural framework completed, the building wrap applied and the fascia fixed in place. Once this is complete your house is ready for the roof to be fitted. The look of your home starts to emerge from the structure.

The installation of the building wrap is a very important part of the overall build. The wrap forms a water-resistant barrier to prevent the infiltration of water into a building assembly.

Another major step forward is setting the fascia board in place so the roof can be fitted. Fascia is an architectural term for a frieze or band running horizontally and situated vertically under a roof edge. It typically consists of a wooden board or sheet metal. The horizontal fascia board which caps the end of rafters outside a building may be used to hold the rain gutter. The finished surface below the fascia and rafters is called the soffit or eave.
