About the role
This role reports directly to the General Manager, you will come with either Residential, Commercial and/or Commercial fitout Site Management experience. In this role you will supervise the construction process on an allocated site in South Auckland (initially a Commercial, high-volume project in Pukekohe), using the Generation Homes proven methods, in a manner which meets site-based H&S, cost control, contractual program, and with a focus on overall quality. 

You will sustain positive and proactive customer relationships, including requirements for regular site reporting using both client-based and internal systems and documentation. You will have a proven ability to hold contractors accountable, successfully driving the construction program, through establishing strong stakeholder relationships. 

Skills and experience

  • Proven New Zealand experience as a Site Manager in Residential or Commercial construction or related field, having experience in both a benefit.
  • Proven ability to drive a construction program for a multi-unit Residential and or Commercial construction site, including reprograming as required
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
  • An ability to interpret and comment on construction drawings & the ability to offer design change solutions would be preferable
  • Ability to manage contractor performance to agreed outcomes
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail, and a continued quest for excellence
  • Understanding of the current safety regulations for construction with relevant Health and Safety accreditations
  • A Registered Licensed Building Practitioner (preferred) but not required.
