About the role
Joining the Central North Island team, within our office based in Rotorua, (a Taupo based could be considered however the preference is Rotorua). This role entails a reasonable amount of driving as we cover the central North Island. In this role you will be responsible for the hands-on management of the construction of our new homes and on-site health and safety performance and conditions. You’ll be supervising contractors and suppliers to deliver outstanding work and products, liaising with Council inspectors, and producing / managing the build programme to ensure we can deliver our promise of a guaranteed move in date with fixed price, on-budget completion of beautiful, well-designed homes. 

You will sustain positive and proactive customer relationships, including requirements for regular site reporting using both client-based and internal systems and documentation. You will have a proven ability to hold contractors accountable, successfully driving the construction program, through establishing strong stakeholder relationships. 

Skills and experience

  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills;
  • An enthusiastic “can do” attitude, with strong self-drive and motivation;
  • A high level of time and process management skills, ability to prioritise tasks and deliver results on time;
  • Attention to detail, and an appetite for continuous improvement;
  • Strong technology skills and confidence in learning new systems;
  • Construction Management (or similar) qualification, and Trade Qualification (preferred not essential)
  • You Must be a team player and enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of NZ Building Construction requirements;
  • Understanding of the current safety regulations for construction with a relevant Health and Safety accreditation (eg. SiteSafe passport)
