Step 2: Framework begins

21 October 2020

Generation Homes typically takes 14 steps to build a new home. During Step 2 the external drainage is completed and the framework for your property is erected. It’s an exciting time of the build as the framework literally goes up before your eyes.

This is a great opportunity to walk through the footprint of your house and visualise what it will look like. The framework refers to the initial structure of a building and at this stage the house will have the walls outlined with openings for windows and doors, but no plaster or siding.

It’s important to remember that Generation homes are built for everyone – no matter what your age, mobility, needs or life stage is. We can provide easy access around your house, which maintains the harmony of good indoor-outdoor flow.

We can also help you incorporate design elements such as widening of passages and doorways, lowering benches and switches or even designing a customised bathroom or wardrobe to make common daily tasks a whole lot easier.

Keep an eye out for the Generation For Life symbol while browsing through our plans, or ask us how we can customise your current plan to suit your whole family.
